Meet the Artist
I am Nadine Robbins-Laurent (aka Twisted Maker). I'm a primarily a self-taught artist based in Pinole, California, working with a variety of media, such as acrylic, colored pencil, pastels and pan pastels, watercolor, clay, lino printing, glass, laser cutting and engraving. Art has always been my passion, but I really started pursuing it more seriously later in life after experiencing a run-in with cancer. I've found that the process of being creative made a positive difference in my journey and emotional healing. My mixed media work often reflects not only my fascination with different media, but my interest in the relationship between emotion, empowerment, the mystical, sometimes the fantastical, and nature.
